Description
I love dragon and this is getting closer to my dream dragon. The proportion is right and I like the long tail. The next upgrade should be spines followed by scales.Paper: Japanese foil (gold) of 50cm square size.
Credits: Satoshi Kamiya's new book, I shaped the legs of my dragon according to his ancient dragon model, it has a very efficient method of narrowing thick points.

WOW! would it be possible that somewhere you could post directions for that beast? about all i have made so far is cranes,dogs, and boxes in oragami so far so i would love to take this kind of challenge on! absolutely gorgeous though!

That is for the current moment impossible because I have not draw any diagram yet nor have I figured out a good folding steps for this one

OH MY BOB! this is truely amazing! the legs are awesomely done! and that long tail is too cool (i love long Dragon tails). he looks very ticked off. i wish i was as good at origami as u are! keep up the great work!

It really depends on your definition of copied. I learn origami techniques from books and I basically applied my knowledge to design this model base, so it is original. But the detailing of the wings, the claws and the head are highly biased by other origami models that are already exist out there

I really love this one; it's got an interesting pose, too. Such a high level of detail, and it looks all imposing, even as if it's breathing fire. Very good work! ^..^

err... I'm jealous... I was inspired by your beautiful dragon to try one on my own-- and I failed miserably. I have dabbled with origami (I have tons of cranes XD) but I can tell this will take time.... I bow down to you and your superior skills ^_^

After I saw your dragon--was inspired and I believe I came across it earlier--and it turned into a miserable paper cut ^_^ However, I tried it again and it worked out a bit better... I guess practice makes perfect :sigh: but one day I'll look at it and say - duh! how did I not see that! :
