Description
This is my character for a new Dungeons & Dragon's campaign in which I'll take part.So far I only did the line art. Soon I'll do the colors.
Edited in 06/09/2009:
Added the flat collors and some shadows just to see how they work. I had fun with a new method of making the shadows, painting black in a new layer with 10% of opacity. It is really easy to do a cartoon look with that.
Edited in 12/09/2009:
I added some highlights and mud to the clothes. Well, it's finished for now.

Nice and simple with good earthy tones. My only complaint would be that his gloved hand, which is closer appears to be smaller than the shortsword hand which is further away.

Proportions and perspectives some times are trickery. But thanks. I'll try hard next time.

Thank you. I was looking for something simpler in this one, specially in the outfit.

I really like the way you did the shading so far... Very cool the way you can see the shadow of his arm and sword

Great job! He looks very similar to my character Kaldir, as I imagine him. I like rangers

Do you have a red-haired ranger character too? I'm amazed.

It seemed more of light brown to me, mine is brown-haired. Kaldir is his name

Very nice. Practical but at the same time good looking clothes. You should do a Tolkien-themed coloring book for children.
The only thing I miss in this picture is a pouch or some other non-weapon luggage. When I roleplay I always try to envision what sort of things other then weapons and armor my characters carries. They feel more alive that way.

The Tolkien-themed coloring book is an interesting idea. For sure I liked them as a child.
As for luggage, I not drew it because as he has only has a backpack, I thought that with this pose it would not show up right. So I preferred him without the backpack.
