Good lord I spent all the hours from roughly 12pm to 6pm drawing all these. FFFFFFFFFFFFF I apologize for my congnizance (lack there of), it's really slipping because me attention span is at its end and I need to go build my pot which I have like... SHIT JUST TODAY TO FINISH GAAAH.

I had the movie playing as I scribbled this, taking more stills of the aliens and watching closely the certain parts where they moved and what not. Oh MY FREAKING BAAAACK, not good to hunch over a laptop for that long. I moved my arm once and got tingles up to the elbow. THE INSIDE OF MY LEG FELL ASLEEP but the rest was fine. How does that even happen?

Sitting at the computer for over 6 hours, that's how. 8|

So, now I have to be a total freak about getting better at prawn realism and really don't feel like doing anything else but just drawing them repetetively and having them become absolute PERFECTION. Which I will never achieve. Which means I'll be doing this shit for the rest of my liiife. DD8

Okay, critique time. I don't care if you disagree. stfu. I see EVERYTHING wrong with them. xU

Top left Eleanor is the first thing I drew. I love it major... It turned out like ALMOST perfect compared to the image in my mind. Angles are funky though. Little face appendage thingers aren't long enough. Neither is her nose-bridge-whatever. But I like it regardless. I think it's just because it's Eleanor. >_>

Harold over there on the right. I... don't even know what happened there. His eyes are way too big, which is why I think of it as a baby picture. And his proportins are SO. FREAKING. HORRIBLE. He faces the same issues as El over on the left, angles are crazy awful. Pretty much nothing in the right proportion. Though I do like his nose ridge for some reason. Still. ÜBER FFFFAAAAIILLL.

Eye doodles! I suddenly saw (again) how AMAZING their eyes were and just wanted to doodle out more of them. I want to focus on getting those eyes just right. Eyes are the window to the soul so if they're janky you'll notice right away. More of the same issues from the top two only a limited scale since the bodies aren't focused on really, cept for ALbert there. We have El saying no to something and then... lol I guess Lucifer had to rebuff because he ended up coming out in the eye to the left of her when I had intended it to be Albutt originally. xD I swear, he's a fungus on my brain. And then to satisfy the fairy he got more of himself drawn but still not accurately because I need more practice with the mouth parts/face diddlies/tentacles in general. D'oh.

Then finally I deiced to tackle a full bust for some reason... The sketching part was fine and I'm actually pretty darn proud of it but my FUCKING TABLET kept throwing hissy fits and loosing it's pressure (I thought I was past this shit by getting a new one?) which is why the rendering isn't done. I just couldn't stand to keep messing with it and getting more and more aggrivated. xC His face is still too long from tentacles to back of the head, neck still looks a bit too long/isn't thick enough, eye is too big/misplaced on the head and at a funny angle, both sets of feelers aren't long enough and I royally fucked his jaw, but other than that I do like it.
I took a lot of time to study the contures of everything and look at the flesh of the neck and where the breathing slits met up with these ridges of flesh that actually aren't part of the breathing apparati at all. (So I think they're just some form of musculature?) Whatever, I did my best and it's not too shabby all things considered.

But that doesn't mean for a second I'll stop being anal about it. :/ Holy spider monkies I am so intimidated to attempt a full body drawing in this style... Watch me just draw bits and pieces but never put them together.

And all this practice makes me wonder how my cartoony prawns would look if I drew them again... >3>
