Description
these are the two newest additions to my collection. two polyphemus moths, a male (on the left) and a female (on the right)in person they have stunning, vibrant pink stripes on their wings, they are absolutely beautiful moths.
the female is about 5.5 inches across (her wings arent fully spread) and the male is a little under that. they are the biggest moths i have in my collection right now ^_^
i also found a cecropia moth but shes a little bit smashed up. e_e;
anywhoo. i really like this photo XD <3

I saw this on the home page and had to have a better look. They are gorgeous, did you intend to make it look like a heart? Also, I love the base you have placed them on, it's interesting to look at but doesn't draw too much attention from the moths; is it an old jewelery box?

I was in Austin Texas last year, and there was a sort of....street vendors fair, and there was a guy who had Butterflies like there, they were in these boxes that had a picture frame. They were so GORGEOUS! Their colors were so bright and vivid and their wings were metallic looking. In the boxes the guys had, their colors were never going to fade away, he basically raises them, them when they die, he captures their beauty, I wanted one, but he didn't have many left, and the ones he did were too pricey.
