Description
these are the two newest additions to my collection. two polyphemus moths, a male (on the left) and a female (on the right)in person they have stunning, vibrant pink stripes on their wings, they are absolutely beautiful moths.
the female is about 5.5 inches across (her wings arent fully spread) and the male is a little under that. they are the biggest moths i have in my collection right now ^_^
i also found a cecropia moth but shes a little bit smashed up. e_e;
anywhoo. i really like this photo XD <3
HOLY CRAP WUT. DD!??!?! WUT. holy shit. thank you everyone<3 thanks to *sandraen ~BassOvercast and ^Shalora

The positioning is perfect. I love the many different designs of both moths of butterflies.

Even if it took all my self-control not to turn and run when I saw this picture (irrational fear anyone?) I'm glad I didn't. They look absolutely stunning.
And I can't believe they're 5.5 inches across... that's huge I'm glad I didn't run into them in person, no matter how beautiful they look now

Stunning. Of all the insects in the world I have to say moths are by far the most beautiful ...
I really love this photograph. The way you've positioned them on the page looks clearly at first like a larger moth, but there is also something very intimate about it ... Whilst it is debatable that moths feel any fondness towards one another this photograph looks almost like there's some secret being passed between them. I know it's crazy, but it does kinda look like they died together, and I think that's sweet

So, do you collect dead animals? Only asking, since you have posed them in situations that you would never stand for if they were alive. Must be dead. I'm not condemning, just asking.

yup pretty much i collect moths mostly, but i do have a few other things here and there i have preserved. but you would honestly be surprised what a live moth will let you get away with o_o;

Ha! I likes mine live.
I mostly collect photos, not bodies. Not that I blame you, I'm very interested in the biological differences from one species to another. All species, all families.

understandably ^_^ i think thats honestly what started it with me is i loooove to pin point differences and the sort. sometimes its just not possible with live moths :/
