I was thinking about the "talent" part, what if he spend hours upon hours to get to this level? Perhaps he had no talent at all but worked his way here and then people like you come along and call it "talent" he prob be like "fml" xDΒ

I just watched this recently! Awesome portrait, that scene was central to Nausicaa's character in my mind!

The animal lover in me wants to get a bit peeved at you taking the raccoon dog so out of focus, but the craftsmanship here is really lovely. (If I had to complain, though, her head does look a tad bit flat, especially since her hair on our left matches up fairly closely with the border of her face.)

there was some news about Miyazaki saying Β he wouldn't personally direct a new Nausicaa movie, but if someone wanted, could ask him. And he said he would have seen well Hideaki Anno directing this movie (dunno, i love that guy's works, but i feel he's not the same director of the times of Evangelion, Nadia and Karekano :S)
btw as much as i love the movie, i suggest you to read the manga too, it's really something epic
