that's looking great, if the gameplay is good it could be one of Dev's best games. but for crying out loud give us somthing to blast while we're waiting.

also, two questions
1. is that gun actually a 3d object or did you imitate 3d with clever animating
2. how did you get the appearance thing to work? (As in how do you set the appearance to appear as whatever you selected in the previous frame.)

1: pre rendered 3D animation, slapped onto the guys hand.
2: each thing you can change the appearance of has frames, each with different appearance options, and on every frame of these, i check what frame it should be on and send it to it.
it sounds confusing, but it really isn't, when I finish making the game I'll release the source and you can take any code you like.
