Here's my villainous mercenary Scorp for Aspyre Comics! . Scorp is slightly more intelligent than most people, has near peak human level strength and speed, is very athletic, an experienced street fighter with good reflexes, and has a slight obsession with scorpions...lol...as if you couldn't tell, huh?
His uniform is made of a very tough, rubberish-like material that is resistant to puncture and damage. He has retractable stingers on his forearms and gas pellet shooters on his wrists. There is a self-made apparatus on his back that holds his retractable tail with retractable stinger that, when sheathed gets coated in a modified scorpion poison. His tail also has gas nozzles at the head of it as well. This gas and tail poison was created by Scorp and derived and modified from actual scorpion venom. This venom will cause the victim alot of pain (though reduced in gas form), some sickness, blurriness of vision, and a general slowing in motion...Beware of Scorp!! Be sure to keep your distance...
I will attempt to color this one and repost...his eyes are red and his main uniform is red and black with gold accents, stingers, and scorpion emblem...

nahh, I'm gonna work with the colors. He kind of reminds me of a soldier or a S.E.A.L. type of guy who went "disturbed",(there are no bad guys, just disturbed guys). I figure he would pick a color on the cooler side of the color wheel. PLUS his name speaks SEAL, you know NAVY SEAL CORP? take of the S from Seal and add it to the CORP. He would be a Pretty good defense and offensive fighter. but I'm going to try a dark red with some strong highlights. oh do you have a side view of this character, Scorp? It would help. Instead of guessing.

I haven't made too much story except that he was in the desert with the scorpions which he studied and became fascinated with...so your soldier story could work well with that...maybe he was escaping a P.O.W. site in the desert or somethin'...

POW sounds more realistic. I would say that he studied the behavior and their attacks movements as part of the fascination while in Prison. maybe he came to realize that the US was not going to rescue him, or maybe he has giving up hope the US was coming to rescue him. Might have even talk himself in to believing that the US Might Declare him Dead In The Line Of Duty. This Guy could be one of you best Hero or Villain. It all has to do with the story you tell.
I also notice that just about everybody likes this hero of Capital Comics: [link] ... I just don't see it. I know he's your main Character. I Just don't see it. BUT then again I don't know the Full story behind him. For all I know he could be as deadly and calm like Marvels Black Bolt. (which I love). Secret Powerful being.

You don't like my character Bluejaye? Wow...he's my favorite...lol...he actually was merged with an angel which is where his powers come from...this angel takes over Bluejaye's body when he is unconcious if need be and is even stronger when in control. He as spiritual wings which come and go at will and a spirit lance...

LOL...most artist only draw Bluejaye because I asked them too...lol...I request a drawing in their style and they ask which character I would like to have...I usually choose Bluejaye because he's my favorite and because most people seem to like him and because it gets him more popular and recognized...I need to see him in action too bro...hey, did you see the MOCC Secret Mission pages I did with Bluejaye in action? There's really no need to tweak anymore. He looks different enough. If you must continue, Scorpions are multi-legged creatures. Perhaps several mechnical legs to increase his speed. They could be located on his side and fold in as torso armor when he's not using it.
Just an idea. I know what it's like trying to distinguish a character from the mainstream guys.

I like the design a lot! Don't worry about any similarities to Marvel. There is only so much variation you can do on a guy with a scorpion motif.

That was my thought on it Kent...and my character's tail comes up and out over while marvel's Scorpion's tail comes down from his back then up...that is the only similarity there I think...
