Oh, now this is really neat. I always admire people who can do things I can't, and I couldn't draw a good horse to save my life!
But not only is it a pretty darn good horsie, you went and stuck it's skeleton in there too! O_o Impressive, to say the least.

To be honest, I really can't draw horses either. I'd be *lost* without photo references.

Heehee, lucky for us there are zoos and google and lots of yummy stock photos! Every time I attempt a horse, I absolutely have to have pictures, and even then... *shudders*

Yeah. I started out trading the right to use them with girls online that had taken pictures of their horses.
Unfortunately, art theft also happens on "show off your horse" pages, so lately I've felt it necessary to take my own photos to be absolutely sure that I don't break any copyrights. 
I still can't draw a horse right without references. Not even after two years of Bella Sara illustrations.

Yes, I got asked. I've been working for Bella Sara since the first edition came out in Denmark.
I was lucky, I guess. I don't think they'd contact me today if i had the same artistic level as I had then, seeing how their standards has gone up considerably since that first edition.
