Ain't it purdy??.....well..not really...more like......disturbing
. I fancied the idea of this and i kinda stopped wit that impaled unicorn in the center, but last night i found it in my folder and thought 'hey, i should finish that!' I meant to do a carousel background but.....i didnt wanna...too lazy...and not enough skill.... So instead i did it up in this way. Still looks ok, its got hints of being a carousel.^__^ I like the horse skulls at the top of each carousel horse and how their tongues are wrapping their way down the poles. Stayed up late on a school night and that just happened to 'pop' into my mind....i think of weird things at night im finding out slowly.......hmmmm.....Anyhow, please leave some comments, they're ALWAYS appreciated! ^__^ They make me feel special!! *looks pleadingly at everybody*

Funny enough the horses on that ride always scared me as a kid, the expressions on them were terrorfieing!
I love your take on it! the sketchyness really adds to the eiry feel of the image as a whole and the look on the horse's face really sets a mood, it really shows it's just pure agony on the horse's part.

Carausels always creeped the crap out of me. I always found something disturbing in them. Great piece and I do love how he just seems to be sleeping soundly on the ride. *shudders* this brings back some memorys.

. your choice of distorted lines and curves is what makes this piece disturbing . all non linear motion , like the beginning of a nightmare with a false sense of safety . wicked piece .

My gosh, this is awesome! What a unique twisted creepy idea! I have to agree with you on the skulls and toungues. Ooo so creepy. What's that a pool of at the bottom? Water, blood? Either way awesome. I also like the goryness of the horse jumping off screen, the way you can see into it is just soo cool!

^__^Well im certainly happy that you like it, and yes thats blood at the bottom of the pic since the poles are literally 'run through' these horses as they are alive....or undead in a couple cases

I really like all your stuff, but this really jumped out at me, because it reminds me a lot of Something Wicked This Way Comes what with the whole carousel and demented fair atmosphere. The detail and sheer mood here are just awesome! You have a very cool style

A famous Graphical Designer did a picture like this with charcole and some sort of paper that escapes me; but even though most ideas are taken, I can definately say though all the complexity of the detailing, you show perfectly how that poor kid is sleeping on a nightmarish ride.
Good thing there are no guts on the floor.

wow, i never knew that someone else had done this type of pic, though i did figure that there probably was some sort of similar piece out there, too many people out there in the world for there not to be similar artworks. Anyhow i swear i didn't know of that Graphic Designers pic or i never would have even done this, i hate to have people think that i copy others works.. WOAH i like this...very twisted version to such a favorite of kids. the horse looks almost anorexic and evil. its a very good idea

Oh yes, I thought that something like a carousel needed a creepy 'twist' to it. Hadn't seen it done before so i decided to be the first to do it(least to my knowledge) I wish the paper was bigger so i could have fit the other horses on there. But since you mentioned it.....I think i will draw some more of those horses. It'll give me something to do after all. Well, glad you like the pic chic, and thanks fer that fav. too!! Keep a look out, mebbe i'll get some done soon.
