Description Well, I've put this up everywhere else, I might as well put it here. Llothiel is a character of mine that I played for several years (spun off the Diablo II universe but shhh, don't tell anyone or it'll turn into Fan Art).

Here is the description I wrote for Epilogue: "A mage deeply versed in the magics of life and death, Llothiel followed the way of Balance--until demons stole the souls of his wife and child. Now he hunts for them ceaselessly, even to the darkest regions of hell..."

A poser figure render, painted in PSP8. Originally done in 2003.

Yup, this is one of several portraits included in the CEP, though out of all that were included this one is my personal favorite. Thank you kindly for the watch!

Thanks! Glad you like it! This is one of my favorite pieces as it is a character I ran for several years and got pretty attached to. Actually there was no "airbrushing" involved on this one. I did everything with a poser model (which got me the figure and his skin texture) and the basic paintbrush tool in PSP8 (and a little bit of smudge tool.) At the time I painted this, I had only been working with digital painting for about seven months, and my only other experience with painting at all had been 10 years earlier in a beginning painting class (we worked with acryllic). So I'm afraid I've never actually used a real airbrush for anything! At this point I've been painting digitally for about a year, so I really feel like i'm just a beginner trying out different things and seeing what works. This was one of the ones where everything worked!

Well that explains everything... why my painting (I only did 1 painting) looks so much Like my cged picture... that painting was really scabby mind you.. i guess it results in my pictures ._.
Well Thanks bud for the help, I think your a natural at this thing considering what you've said..

The Shoulders appear to be raised a little too high, but otherwise it's a great picture

Yeah, they are a bit... there are a lot of little things about this that bug me--but nothing major enough for me to want to change it. Part of this was that I was using Poser as the basis for my figure instead of my own rendering. I was very new to Poser at the time, and didn't know how to set things like focal length properly. Still, the overall effect worked (and it's the only piece I've done so far that got accepted into Epilogue on the first submission! So I'm not messing with it!)

wow, this is amazing, great great work, i think the arm holding the magic sphere is a bit too short, but ill fave it anyway

Heh. Thanks. Well, you can take up the arm length with the poser programmers. I think part of it is the focal length I used. I wasn't really familiar with how to use Poser when I rendered the original figure. But for a first try, it didn't turn out too badly.
