My favourite scenes from the book of How to Train Your Dragon (of Cressida Cowell) in Nico Marlet's style!I made it in traditional way with colouring pencils, coloured charcoal and poster paint!

I kind of prefer the movie.Β I think it's kind of weird that Hiccup can talk to Toothless or that the dragons can talk.Β I don't mind dragons talking, I just find it weird to own a pet that you can talk to.

Yeah, that's kind of a major issue in the books, the whole slavery thing. I kinda wanna talk more about it, but most of what I wanna say would spoil a lot.Β

i love this book so much! i just can't stop reading it. and how you drawed it looks a lot like the style of Nico. so this is just awesome!

I read the first few books when they first came out. Β Now I'm re-reading them after about 10 years and now reading the ones I've missed. Β Seeing this... just makes me smile. Β Thanks for your wonderful art. Β I have to say right now the first is still my favorite, but How to Cheat a Dragon's Curse runs a real close second. Β Just for the all 'Hysterical' situations they get in...if you haven't read it yet I definitely would recommend it.

These all look so GREAT! The coloring and all of the expressions are lovely! I particularly like the "More important than your son" scene and Toothless demanding a joke! Also, Toothiana looks beautiful as well. The medium of colored pencils really works well with her overall design and colors.
