As a lover of games of all types and genre, this is the best rebuttal to the idea of graphics being a deciding factor in quality. They may help, but they aren't the be-all end-all.

A link to the past was one of my first games. And it introduced me into Zelda, I cannot deny it's greatness and still replay it despite the fact we have all these games with impressive graphics.

XD i know that! Sometimes when i'm playing pokemon red on my gameboy people will ask me "whats that? or, you should trade that in for a DSi or the 3DS" but I say no and contuine to play it that game. Oh by the way, your Mokepon is one of the best comics in the world! If you ever get it printed I WANT A COPY! (i will buy it of course!)

I'm the kind of person who wants the next new advanced thing, and even I disagree with that! Sometimes, I get this burning desire to play an old game because I'm feeling reminiscent.

Haha. Reminds me of when I was playing X-COM a while ago, and my dad walked in. Heheh. But yeah, gameplay outdoes graphics in importance, however, should the graphics actually detract from the gameplay, graphics are more important.

lol I have a PS2 and a wii, the games I've played on my wii, and my friend's Xbox, are ok, but I LOVE my ps2...I like alot of ps1 games...

I quit the xbox and went back to PS2. Got Nocturne, Digital Devil Saga 1 & 2 and Persona 3 FES last year.
Seem like the newer games only exist to make money, not to be played. I would play a 10+ hour of great stuff over 100+ hours of grinding. Skyrim didn't impressive me as it should because of that, I already played Daggerfall which was a "bigger" game.

I can't stand people who think graphics are the only thing that is needed for a good game. Just go play Mardek or Raider (By Pseudolonewolf) or Chrono Trigger and tell me that they're not good games!
