Description How I make eight pages in seven days (or eight, if you include the day off).

A few of you asked, so here it is A little look into how I make my comics. Not a tutorial as such... I know it's not very in depth, but if there's something you'd like to know or a stage you'd like more detail on, just let me know and I'll get to it some time!

By the way, not all the pages I make are for Mokepon o' course xD The reason I'm making so many is because I'm working darned hard to get my Rumplestiltskin book made!

I'm wondering, do you archive all the pages you sketch/print? Or do you only keep the inked page, if at all? What's your method for archiving (dossiers, folders, drawers, A PILE OF PAPERSHEETS ON A DESK)? :3

I keep all the inked pages in a plastic folder. I hope to sell 'em someday

Now that was a fast reply, thank you! ^^ I wanna keep my pages somewhere safe too, but archiving has never been my strong point xD I'm trying to see what solutions are best for it

But really now, I LOVE Mokepon and you never cease to amuse me with it. Keep it up!

If I was just making one page start to finish, then one day. If I work in a batch like this I can make eight pages in seven days

Thankyou for doing this. I find drawing my comic a laboriously slow process, and I'll definitely give this method a try in the hope that one day I can make it as awesome (and regular!) as Mokepon.

I've always been curious about how you do your comics. Now I know! This is super useful to those who want to do a comic one day but don't know how to exactly get the work done, like me. If it was possible, however, could you please explain how you erase the red lines once scanned on your computer? I've tried to do this several times, and failed horribly.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

H0lyhandgrenade In reply to diao-chan94 [2012-10-02 17:36:51 +0000 UTC]

Oh that's easy xD In adjustments in photoshop, go to hue/saturation. then just select red tones, and slide the lightness bar up until they fade to nothingness

This is some really helpful stuff, H0ly. I love that you have used a >': in the script

The scanning and printing off of each stage is genius. As well is the red tone.

Hopefully, I can take something from here to finally start my nuzlocke. I keep trying to get it down on paper but it never looked right. Maybe if I use stage one and not worry too much about detail and positions, it might help ^__^
