Description Finally! Attempt #3. Here it is, folks. Mirage. There is just not anything like enough good art of this guy. He's awesome! So many thanks to Marcello Matere, TF artist extraordinaire, for drawing this amazing lineart. Check it out; it's awesome: [link]
Thanks a million, pal, for letting me color this.

Celebrate with me my acquisition of a bunch of Prismacolor markers. Sooooo Smoooooooooth!!!

I learned a lot about highlighting on this (note the three tries before it came out acceptable). If I were going to do any real highlighting on shiny TF's, I should probably have to have like 5 colors that I use to create the shiny. But I'm just starting to figure this out, so I stuck with one.

Hope y'all like it!

*hugs Mirage*

Prime Out.

I love Mirage too; I had to do what I could to add to the entirely-too-small collection of Mirage art. I've actually learned a lot about coloring since I did this... I'd fix a few things now, if I could. But it's also good to be able to see where I've come from...

Oooo, you put Mirage up here, eh?
I'm sooooo impressed with your marker coloring, I am...hesitant...about trying markers.

I second the motion for awesome white bits, and add grey bits. they are also awesome. Classics-looking Mirage is not my favorite, but I can't help but like this anyway. The shiny on the left arm and leg seem a bit confused, but all the rest of the shading is complete win! ace!

That's 'cause I'm still pretty much clueless about how to do "shiny."
Gotta practice to learn, eh?

Wow, that turned out great! So glad you finally had results you were happy with XD. Also glad he let you color it. He's a great guy.

The highlights are really cool. Do you really need multiple shades to get better highlights? I think they're great the way they are .

No, *I* don't need multiple shades to do highlights. I was just looking at some of my comic books to get an idea of how to do highlights, and everyone used many, many colors to do it. (Well, the shiniest ones did.) Hopefully soon I'll get a color blender, and that will help. It's like I don't know how to just be satisfied with what I am able to do - I always want to do better. Which *can* be a good thing, but can also... But hey - I still love doing this. And getting all these new materials - heck, even starting to take my "little colorings" somewhat seriously - is very nice. It feels good to really work at something, and make it into a picture I can kinda be proud of, ya know?!

Yeah, it's both tough and great when you push yourself to do better each time. And making something that you feel really good about is such an awesome feeling. Even more when other people take an interest in what you're doing. If you get one of those blenders, let me know how it works out. I've got one that I've hardly used, mainly because I haven't taken the time or effort to learn how.
