All hail !!So. Alex Milne gets a lot of fully-deserved respect for the detail-level in his artwork. BUT. Lookit this here.
AND. Just wait till you see the other one!
Andrew Griffith, aside from being a supremely decent bloke, can DRAW. And he can draw MOVIEVERSE, which is a whole 'nother level of confounding. Foundation is one of the most underappreciated IDW series, IM[not-so-H]O. I've been in awe of his work on this book ever since I first saw it. Wanted to color if from that time onward, as well. This took me AAAAAAAAAGES. Just the time spent trying to figure out exactly what everything WAS, and how it ought best to be rendered.....
But here it is! Check this the heck out, people! And worship at the altar of Griffith.
And maybe, spare a few awestruck moments for the marker-work that went into coloring this. FOR I WORKED MOST HARD ON IT, FORSOOTH!
The only thing I'm not suuuper happy with is how the reflections on his helmet came out. I tried. But it looks messy.
MARKERS, yo. And not even the fancy Copic kind! On 11x17" comic board.

Both Griffith and Milne can draw movieverse! I'm not a fan, but the artists that can draw and colour them are extremely admirable and I give them so much respect. Another stellar effort Prime ^^

My favorite capture of Foundation protoform Optimus Prime. I loved that issues too much!! Well done for the coloring!! You always amaze me!! (Remember the Infestation issue? With Prime figthing the Elder God? ;D).

Love all the different shades of grey - it is a rare artist indeed who Fully Gets that even grey is not Just Grey.
Now if you'll please excuse me I need to stop squeeing on all that pretty glowing blue, it's not doing my jammed up hayfever receptors any good whatsoever
