Here we see the mighty Batbird, in it's natural environment, enveloped by darkness.
This mysterious species adopt chicks from another bird, the Robin, which it will allow into its territory. The Batbird will ensure its authority but fights over dominance between the Robins will much likely occur. This, however, depends on the nature of each chick and how they get along with one another.
Unlike the Batbird's dark coating, the Robins are often colourful which effectively masks the Batbird's presence while hunting. Another reason for keeping them around you might say. On the other hand, the Robins are more than just hunting tools. They provide the Batbird with a healthy dosage of companionship and love. It's been scientifically proven that the Robins ensure a long and healthy life for the Batbird. As the Batbird live and hunt quite dangerously, the Robins' assistance can become a matter between life and death.
Numbers vary, but as the Batbird age the number of adopted chicks will rise. Even past adulthood these chicks will occasionally visit the nest, often welcomed by the resident Batbird.
