Description
Another arvalis styled drawing. Interpretation of the most famous fairies of Pokèmon, Clefairy, Jigglypuff and Togepi, along with their evolution line. Fairies are usually cute, and the awness of fairy animals should be as cute then. Some backstory now.
The Togepi species is a bird that gets to become a pretty big hawk, starting with a very round shape as a chick. The chick usually stays encased in its own eggshell, warm in the pressure of its yellow-ish feathers, partially present already at the hatch, on the walls of the egg. The feathers that are visible outside the egg are very messy and tend to go in opposite directions, resembling thorns, usually on the head, that looks like being covered by a crown of feathers.
After some time, the plumage of the Togepi gets harder and breaks parts of the eggshell where the limbs are located. This makes the chick look like it's dressed in its own egg, able to roam around freely with its limbs acting as balancers. Togepi usually don't walk too correctly, because of some impediments in the eggshell, and the lack of a tail, still trapped in the egg.
Mistreatments can easily lead the chicks to denutrition and death, as they are pretty weak and need much attention to be taken care of properly.
If treated exceptionally well by the family or by a human that has adopted the bird as pet, Togepi will grow a brighter plumage, resulting in pure white, and will grow in size.
A completely healthy Togepi then grows into a medium stage known as Togetic. This stage resembles a Japanese dove, but the actual species is more related to Hawlucha and other hawk pokemon.
Some feathers on the chest of the young bird become red or blue, clearly visible among the bright white of the majority of its plumage, and these colours are used to recognize a certain Togetic from others. It is also common to witness in the plumage the formation of geometric shapes like triangles or squares, because of the randomness of where these special feathers will grow.
The feathers on its head are usually less messy than in the Togepi stage, rearranged in a kind of crest that grows until behind the neck.
The more peculiar aspect of this bird is the way in which the tail is actually divided in two, while the wings are smaller, not allowing more than 50 m of flight. The tail is so wide that its bisectal division makes people believe that it is the actual pair of wings of the animal.
Sunlight has a massive effect on the hormones of Togetics, as they develop an even whiter plumage, grow taller and stronger and their physionomy changes into a rare, beautiful and majestic creature, the Togekiss. This big hawk is the adult stage of a Togepi, and usually reaches 1,5 m of height, while also growing big talons covered in feathers, resembling hairy feet like the ones of many mammals. The feathers covering the talons allow a Togekiss to grab preys like bugs and even Umbreons, or land in the most silent way possible.
The beak is fully grown but is usually shining in the sunlight, a particular thing that creates the illusion that Togekiss has no beak at all if directly looked at, as the beak is camouflaged with the sparkling white plumage. Togekisses are usually peaceful creatures, really intelligent birds in comparison with many others, always finding creative, non-violent ways of surviving in dangerous situations or in case their own flock is threatened. Their wingspawn is so big that they can cover up the whole family of both Togepi and Togetic, as the feathers have grown harder than weak minerals, and can stand a medium amount of damage from rubble. When wet, the feathers usually still work, but as they can absorb a lot of heat ice can damage the muscles of Togekisses in serious ways.
Igglybuffs and Cleffas are the kittens of two species of fat bunnies, respectively Jigglypuff and Clefairy. The tiny Igglybuffs are known to be really fluffy and soft: their body is mostly composed by a pink fur and small but strong muscles around a yet not fully grown skeleton with flexible bones. These little balls usually go around using their strong muscles and flexible limbs to jump around in the grass, bouncing on the soft grounds thanks to the fluffy fur. Their organs are not fully developed but vocal chords and ears are not even present: Igglybuffs are usually deaf and most of the times mute as the development of the two organs has not even begun. This is an extreme danger for the family, as Igglybuffs can be easily lost in slightly taller grass than normal, and cannot reach for help, but most importantly cannot cry in case they are hungry.
This is why they are usually taken care of with extreme caution by the eldest of their group, in order to let the babies survive and be healthy until the next stage is reached. This makes Igglybuff one of the hardest pets to take care of.
Their ears start to grow and develop a certain sense of hearing when they get into the stage of Jigglypuffs, even though it is not too enhanced like the one of other bunnies.
As Jigglypuff, the bunny gets much fluffier and softer, yet it grows a spherical ribcage where two very large lungs are encased. This ball-form resembles a balloon to many, but most of the people who meet a Jigglypuff think it is just a fat bunny.
In this stage, the tufts on the forehead of the pokemon grow so long that they could be looked at as an actual hairstyle, developing a counterclock swirl that follows the origin of the fur, at the very center of the forehead. This "hairstyle" hides two big blue eyes often deemed blind eyes, when Jigglypuffs actually have a very developed eyesight.
As their hearing is not good, the immensely developed lungs are filled with air and the vocal chords create very loud high-pitched sounds that do not affect them much. These sounds are also known to have delta waves in it, relaxing the brain of predators, and often leave them dizzy for long enough for the bunnies to run away and hide. Predators even fall asleep at times, especially if many of the species are screaming at him from point blank.
As Jigglypuffs absorb moonlight during the night, they grow twice as big because of the hormonal alteration, and get to look more like actual bunnies, losing their peculiar balloon-like shape for a more proportioned, yet still round and fluffy body. This stage is known as Wigglytuff.
The growth of long and complete ears in this stage has developed a much better sense of hearing that can let them listen carefully to the sounds of younger Jigglypuffs, while also resisting the delta waves because of their natural immunity to the soothing effect.
Their eyes are usually covered by a layer of water that makes them look shiny and bright in the moonlight, giving the appearance of glowing orbs in the dark.
The fluffiness of their fur is so soft that they are usually hunted for it, but their can easily attack humans by making them dizzy with their sounds and using their strong leg muscles to jump high and hit the aggressors in the chest after inflating their now bigger-than-a-human's lungs.
Clefairies are nocturnal bunnies that prefer to live in caves and on the mountains. They are actually cousins of the more grass-loving Jigglypuffs, derived from a common ancestor called Spinda, a wild hare with darker colours.
The kittens of Clefairy, Cleffas, are already born with huge fluffy tails developed in a swirl fashion and a long tuft on their forehead, already curling downwards. Their ears are already well developed in this first stage, as they need extremely good hearing to alarm the others in case of danger. They are very weak and in constant need of food and water, usually drinking morning dew whenever possible, helped by pokemon of the species that already reached the later stages. They are less fluffy than Igglybuffs, but just as soft as their fragile bodies are round, but extreme caution is needed for them to grow, as their organs are not developed, especially eyesight, as they are blind.
By growing in a warm and constantly supervised background, they get slightly bigger, develop eyesight and a certain grade of high-pitched sounds, still nowhere near the ones made by Jigglypuffs, but still helpful in dangerous situations, as they are easily recognizable. These fluffy round bunnies are slightly bigger than a Jigglypuff, but they are also relatively slender.
Their fur does not cover their claws, that they only use to dig up holes in the ground to find the vegetables they eat, as they do not like meat.
A peculiar trait of these bunnies is the strange growth of their shoulder blades, located on the exterior of their backs. These bones are not a pair but three pairs, and reach out the sides of the back, getting covered in fur. This gives many the impression that Clefairies have wings.
Hormones during the night are usually altered in such a way by moonlight that the growth of a Clefairy speeds up until it doubles its height and weight, becoming a Clefable.
The ears develop even more, reaching a finest hearing that allow this final stage of Cleffa to distinguish sounds from large distances, sometimes even from a km during especially quiet nights. As they are so sensitive to noises, they are usually shy and very reclusive, hiding in the dark of caves as soon as they sense damage.
The now fully grown "wings" allow them to jump and deviate air currents for a short amount of time, giving the impression to be able to somehow take off. They use this ability to confuse enemies, in the rare times they are caught by them. They are more aggressive than their younger stages, and they won't hesitate when using claws to scratch and stab.
Being eaten by a Togepi is a Klefki. They are big, unproportioned harvestmen that usually live in little forests. They have three pairs of considerably thin legs and two resistant ones that they use to climb trees by using the various hooks present on them. The thinner legs are not too weak in comparison, and are used to sustain and keep their light body in place. The hooks on the stronger legs occasionally catch small keys of various types, that might have been lost by humans on the ground, while walking in forests. As their main legs are strong enough to climb trees even with keys trapped in them, along with their six nearly transparent legs, they look like flying ghost key rings, scaring people. As they are smarter than other arachnids, they learned to exploit the hooks and the keys by using them deliberately to scare dangerous animals, and even search for keys when they learn the trick. Way bigger enemies like Togetics usually do not care about the sound and use their talons to weaken the main legs, making Klefkis fall on the ground, ready to become food for the Togepis.

Cool, now i really wanna see how you handle the other FAIRY type pokemon.
I mean there some easy ones, like the Marill & Snubbull family
But there also Ralts, Flabebe & even the plant fairy combos.
Heck Klefki as something "realistic" would be good to see. (have own ideas but really wanna see others.)

Technically, whatever pokemon has some flying or levitating ability can be linked to certain animals who actually have means of flight such as birds and stuff. Here the complete list (of course the remaining ones )
Snubbull and Granbull are bulldogs.
Flabebè, Floette and Florges are bugs with no flying skills, constantly attached to a flower because of a certain symbiosis that makes them die if they ever separate.
Spritzee and Aromatisse are two very ugly owls with no flying skills.
Swirlix and Slurpuff are very fluffly rodents.
Sylveon is a mammal belonging to the species of Eevee, as Arvalis had done in one of his works.
Xerneas is a stag with very big antlers.
Ralts, Kirlia, Gardevoir (and the non-fairy Gallade) are birds with two sets of wings.
Azurill, Marill, Azumarill are lake bunnies.
Mawile is a freak dinosaur with plumes that ended up living instead of dying in spite of its genetic problems.
Audino is related to rodents and elephants but has no actual equivalent in real life.
Cottonee and Whimsicott are rodents that like to stick in cotton.
Dedenne is a fat hamster related to Pikachu.
Carbink and Diancie are giant fluffy hornets. I drew those in the original concept but left them aside as they were not "cute". They are similar to the Venezuelan Poodle Moth.
Klefki is an insect, there is some kind of description in the image.
