It's really been too long since I played this game. I even forgot about the navigator fish (or whatever it really was).
This is a lovely piece. You even thought about giving Link some provisions. The amount of details is amazing and it still retains such a simple athmosphere. I also love that you used your own style. It makes the picture stand out so much more. Great job!

Und da dachte man, wΓΌrdest du nochmal ein WindWaker-Bildlein machen, wΓ€re es im typischen Stil. Aber falsch gedacht. Dein Link hier ist eine gewagte Mischung, aber da es ja gar nicht im sein Gesicht geht in dem Bild, ist es sehr problemlos. Eine SchΓΆne idee. Aber hΓ€lt der Fisch den Pinsel nicht normalerweise im Maul? Fragen ΓΌber Fragen. Und so unwichtig, weil der Gesamteindruck ja stimmt..

Der Fisch kartografiert in-game eine perfekte Insel im Flug mit dem Maul, das kam kompositorisch dann doch nicht ganz so geil. XD
Links Augen sind etwas zu gut getuscht, das sollte eigentlich ein vollkommen normales Gesicht sein. Diese Sennelier-Tusche gehΓΆrt sowas von in den Abfall...

I gotta say, this is incredible. The linework, the colors, the obvious attention to detail, the way in which everything flows so beautifully, everything about this piece is stunning. Way to take an idea and really make it unique and yours. The King of Red Lions looks like a Chinese dragon in the face. In fact, the entire thing has the "ancient" Chinese/Japanese feel. Absolutely gorgeous

Thank you very much for your kind words. Interesting you mention ancient Chinese. The feeling I wanted to create was that of early 20s century fairy tale book illustrations in Europe, which came with Art Nouveau. This particular art style was hugely influenced by chinese and japanese woodcuts.
