How about it go for the rising hero, Izuku Midoriya/Deku, from Japan, thanks to getting sucked up an villain's Dimensional Gate Quirk, trying not to kill, unless he really needs to, in an edgy anime world and his new allies to not really kill that much in their revolution to bring down the corruption throughout the whole Empire, in the name of Justice, as All Might would put it (While focusing more on the characters more, the Empire more, and the actual importance of the Danger Beasts)? Izuku would be like an Kaiji to the group too, but not an bum with gambling demons, and in various situations and spots that are not edgy, bloody shonen battles, like gambling, even at his age, mind games, battles of wits, waiting it out, and getting to the inside of the Empire itself, slowly but surely.

You may say Deku might get some near-deaths in the Akame-verse, as he is trying to be the no-kill hero in an unfamiliar and edgy world, with jsut black & white, while he is the shocking gray person in this bloody, but too simple of a battle.

Izuku/Deku: "For justice and for the innocent ones through this Empire, I would save them! E-even if I can't save them-m all, since I am only one person, not an-an machine. For I am an hero!"

One character added in an story, even an character from another series, causes an ripple upon ripple, and changes the whole story in an new direction, for the better even.
