Attempt #1! I'm trying to design a cover for PoT to put up on FFn. I love the one Okumura Rin made for me ([link] ), but I really want to use my own art. Any thoughts?

Edit: Made a couple of changes and cropped to fit FFn's ratio standards.

Edit II: Made "Phantom of" more legible. I like the second version, but I think this one reads better at postage stamps size.

Oh, thank you! I'm glad you like the cover too.

I'm going to try my best. It's wearing on me, I have to admit; I'm ready to move on to other things. But I am very fond of these characters and I do want to finish telling their story. So it'll probably happen.

That and I'm pretty sure I'll be hunted down if I don't.

The texture is just streaky glass (which I now have a credited link to in the comment, ehwhups ). I wanted the idea that you're outside of the containment unit looking through it at Danny. I could maybe make it more explicit and put a handprint in there...

^agreed, there's sort of a dark patch behind the 'h' that makes it hard to read, but other than that it's really legible as a thumbnail. great work

I think it looks really great. His position and body language really get across the frustration and anguish he feels throughout a lot of the story. It fits well, as does the splats of green.

My only comment would be that when it's smaller, it will be a little hard to read "Phantom of" when it's spaced like that over a darker section of the background.

Hrm, yeah that is a problem. I tried using the dodge tool on that part but it changed it a funny color. Maybe I can move around the texture a bit so it doesn't have that streaky bit there...I'll give it a shot.

I tried it the same color as "TRUTH" but I didn't like it. Maybe I can put it in a bolder font? *goes to fiddle with it more*
