Okay first off: ugliest crocodile ever spawned award, please.If you haven't heard by now (meaning you live in a cave), Steve Irwin was killed by a poisonous stingray a few days ago. It's depressing, he was so cool...such an awesome Australian stereotype. He'd been messing with tons of dangerous animals for years, and he'd kinda gotten this air of immortality.
Guess he died doing what he loved.
But, as a last act of manliness--as if a lifetime of wrangling crocodiles and sticking his head into beehives was not enough--he pulled the stingray's barb out of his chest before dying.
So here's to the only person from Australia who's ever been worth mentioning.

Oh yeah, and I guess I'm off hiatus now. Kinda unannounced, I know, sorry. I'd spent most of the summer animating, and...yeah. Some people appear to think I was in Canada up until this moment, but, uh, I was only there for like three days. Don't ask me how it was, I already forgot.
(Ye, joke is kinda derived from that Dane Cook act. Glorious! Glorious!)
But school is happening again this year, so I guess I'll go back to whatever I usually do.

Well thinking about it. If he hadn't pulled it's barb out, yes they might have been able to save him, but more than likely with the cost of the stingray's life. Or at least it's livelihood by removing the only thing it has to defend itself. He wouldn't have wanted that.

I loved Steve! He was my childhood hero. I watched almost every episode, and cried when Sui died. 
He was amazing!!! Don't downtalk him. He was just doing what he liked. And he did save quite a few critters.

Y'know, he actually knew what he was doing. His show still runs to this day, and even though he may seem to have been crazy, wouldn't do anything as dumb as you project hi in this pic. I'm sorry, I'm a fan of your works. Really I am. But that's a low blow. especially when ONE WHO CONSIDERED HIM AN IDOL WOULD SEE THIS!!!He never stuck his head into a beehive, for fladoodle's sake, whenever he did something, he took as many safety precautions before doing so.(Note: Dane Cook should be attacked by his fear, the koolaid man, for insulting Steve Irwin.) He's got a oo named after him, memorials for him, even a dang WHALE WARS ship named after him. So I have a word for YOU, RENEE SPRINGER, KEVIN MORRIS, THESE-DARK-FACES, AND ALL THOSE IDIOTS WHO INSULT THE ONE BIOLOGIST MAN WHO WAS NOT ONLY MINE, BUT BOTH MY SIBLINGS' IDOL: I bet you cowards wouldn't have the guts, the nerves, or even the sense to do all of the things he did to save animals, give to charity, help out a NATION RECOVERING FROM WAR, and teach people what and what not to do around venomous, dangerous, and large animals. To think that you all would have the sheer audacity to say that stuff about them as though it is nothing. How would you like it if someone bad-mouthed you when you die?

Alive or dead he has created the worst steryotype for australians. I've lost count of the amount of times I've gotten on Xbox live and some twat just screams 'CRIKEY!!' . . . no one ever says that!! (and dingos dont take our babies!)

The whole 'dingo took my baby' is seriously doubted, the evidense doesn't add up to that and it is an unkept secret that the parents (inparticular the mother) was suspected of murder.
At least the brits have some other acters going for them, they have the Bond series plus top gear.
We have steve irwin or freakin' Mel gibson, no one ever thinks about our other actors :/

Hey, I'm American, and I don't think of the Crocodile Hunter when I think of Australia, even though I did watch that when I was a kid. When I think of Australia, I think of Claudia Black! :] Brilliant actress, wouldn't you say? I understand what you mean about stereotypical actors tho. I've seen a few British TV shows where they bring in an American, and they are SO unlike what most Americans are like.
