Description
Okay first off: ugliest crocodile ever spawned award, please. If you haven't heard by now (meaning you live in a cave), Steve Irwin was killed by a poisonous stingray a few days ago. It's depressing, he was so cool...such an awesome Australian stereotype. He'd been messing with tons of dangerous animals for years, and he'd kinda gotten this air of immortality.
Guess he died doing what he loved.
But, as a last act of manliness--as if a lifetime of wrangling crocodiles and sticking his head into beehives was not enough--he pulled the stingray's barb out of his chest before dying.
So here's to the only person from Australia who's ever been worth mentioning.
...
Oh yeah, and I guess I'm off hiatus now. Kinda unannounced, I know, sorry. I'd spent most of the summer animating, and...yeah. Some people appear to think I was in Canada up until this moment, but, uh, I was only there for like three days. Don't ask me how it was, I already forgot.
(Ye, joke is kinda derived from that Dane Cook act. Glorious! Glorious!)
But school is happening again this year, so I guess I'll go back to whatever I usually do.
WRESTLING DINOSAURS IN THE SKY 4EVER!

The Sad thing about Steve Irwins death is that if he hadn't have pulled out the barb he wouldn't have bled so much and they might have been able to save him. everyone here knows that if u get somthing stbbed into u don't pull it out cos u can either do more damage, or release the blood so that u bleed to death. and the stingray barb did both. pitty really.

that was sad yet strange that he died in such a weird way i always though he'd die by a croc eating him or been bitten by a piosonous snake or spider or even jumo from a cliff too high kinda freaked me out when he died though he wasthe only thing worth watching on the animal planet channel......... well back to anime and manga

The sting ray wasn't poisonious. The stinger just got him in heart.

Quite the contrary actually. (please don't take this the wrong way, someone did and was mean and I watch too much animal planet >.> ) But the stinger is poisonous, not enough to kill a man usually, unless it gets in his heart Poor Steve, he was really awesome
My sorrys in advance if you take offense. :{

What a relief! as soon as I hit 'Send' I was like "what have I done!" Yeah, that was the perfect example of a freak accident. I always thought a croc would, still how sad! I also read somewhere that if he hadn't pulled the barb out, he could have lived.
though I doubt it's true, I've heard stuff like that. :

Awesome man, but good point. It's a miracle he didn't die when he was oh... 2? At the rate he was going he's lucky he even got through grade school with how close he got with crocs alone! I wish he would have at least died to a croc, and quickly. It'd have been far more funny (only for irony) and probably a more fitting end (since he IS the croc hunter). I'm not insulting him or anything, I grew up watching the guy and wish he hadn't died, period...

yeah i think we're all gonna miss him...i was in Orlando at a hotel with my cousin, mom, aunt, and uncle, and i woke up and mom was watching the news with this horrified expression on her face like the news had just said Iraq had nuked the hotel next to us. Starting to freak, i asked her what was wrong, and she told me that Steve Irwin had died like five minutes ago.....i was crying the whole day and when i got back to school everyone was so drepressed...except for a few boys who were cheering about it, but we took 'em down like three seconds later...

I remember that day perfectly...
I logged into MSN, and my friend had her Away message set as 'R.I.P, Steve Irwin.' so i was like 'O.O', and re-opened the Msn news headline thing, and there it was. So i, I read it, and started bawling. XDD I loved since I was a little kid, and he shaped my life enough to make me want to be a Herpetologist. R.I.P indeed.

Steve Irwin was a great man, and one of my idols. It was a sad day when he died, and no one in this world will be able to take his place.
This is a worthy tribute to him and what he did.

Ooh yeah, there will never be another one like him. I've seen gator resteling, it's scary. He's one brave guy. Though I find it quite strange that he was killed by a Stringray and not a 'gator, given their past history.
