Description
Part1 over hizz-hurr....Okay, I couldn't resist adding to the last one. Fighting on the open sea is an altogether ridiculous concept, especially when the combatants are rocks.
I'm...I'm not a very good Pokemon Trainer.
Next week will not be a Pokemon comic, I promise.
Edit:TOEATSMOKE BEAT ME TO IT DWAAAAAUUUHHHHHFFF

C'mon! More Pokemon Surf Strike! This is really funny! You could to a fire-type, or something! lol
That's really amusing. When you think about it, it really doesn't make sense, some of the things in Pokemon. LOL.

XDD Yup, that always puzzled me. Somehow, my Typlosion could stand on my Lanturn in battle back then in Silver.
Here's another idea. A few days ago, I came out of battle with my Dragonite asleep. I comanded him to use Fly, and somehow, in his asleep state, I was able to fly to the other side of the region. 0.o

Something like this actually happened in the anime once. It was in the episode where Ash had to ride in a Kentucky Derby-like race against an arrogant Dodrio trainer. Misty and Brock also got into the race for the fun of it, and Brock rode on Onix's head. At one point, they reached a river, and Brock along with Onix stopped at the river as the only means of getting across were small stepping stones. A trainer and his Rhyhorn decide to go first, but as soon as Rhyhorn makes that first move, the pokemon's weight causes the stepping stone to sink! Onix is then seen crying as he and Brock are out of the race since there would be no way Onix could cross the river at this rate.

The third generation's genius idea of allowing battles to take place underwater only complilcates things. Way too many questions raised (Air? Conductivity? Bouyancy? Pressure? Fire?).

Oh man, that rocks. Oh poo... No pun intended, really... <.<;
Anyway... That's so true. But the way they get around it is that the pokemon can float above the water...! It's ridiculous, yes, but oh well.

You could always bring up the fact that people like to use Electric Pokemon over a large body of water. I'm surprised that nobody has brought up the conductivity of water yet.

I still don't get how back in Ruby and Sapphire, you could:
1. Stay underwater indefenitely
2. Use fire-types underwater
