Description Blaaaghhh I missed two comics in a month, that's a bad thing. I mean, you know, I was busy. Busy with important stuff that was not a ten-day free trial of World of Warcraft.

Anyway, here are some more physics/footwear shenanigans that've been around since Ocarina of Time. Make of it what you will!

...Link sure has a weird buoyancy point. It's consistant enough now that it must be a law. Maybe his hat is filled with helium.

If you think of it is like using magic on and off abilities like it has a gravitational field when hes wearing it then yeah it does make sense. When the things are off they don't pull you down.

Obviously, they are magically pulling him down when they are worn. Otherwise, they are a normal pair of boots.

Either that, or Link has a magical dimension of his own. Explains where his items go.

I think, if I remember correctly, when he isn't using the items, they shrink to microscopic size. But when he pulls them out to use, they grow to full size again. That's what I think I remember happens. I think Zelda explained it to Link in the original cartoon, or something. I can't remember though.

My theory of this is that Midna makes them disappear like she does when you get the Ordon Sword and Shield and enter the Twilight, so they don't have matter any more.

If we were talking about Ocarina of Time's Iron Boots... Well... Maybe Navi is stronger than we think (?)

Ah yes. And how his hat never falls off. Ever. And how he's able to breathe underwater just by wearing a different color tunic, and how his fingers don't burn to a crisp holding the metal Master Sword in the Fire Temple even though they remain unprotected by the red tunic (oh, and his face too, for that matter. And the red tunic's just that--a tunic, it doesn't protect his Kokiri-boot clad feet)...

Gosh, the physics in Zelda are all messed up I love 'em xD

What I love is his expression here. It's a very "duh" expression and yet at the same time I get the sense that he doesn't really know either and so is just trying to make up an excuse for the bizarre physics off the top of his head xD

Two more mind aching questions about Link.

How does his hat stay on when he's doing trick and upsidedown?

In Death Mountain, TP version, there are magnets, and if you wear the boots, you stick. Yet your sword and hlian shield don't. How is that possible?
