Blaaaghhh I missed two comics in a month, that's a bad thing. I mean, you know, I was busy. Busy with important stuff that was not a ten-day free trial of World of Warcraft.Anyway, here are some more physics/footwear shenanigans that've been around since Ocarina of Time. Make of it what you will!
...Link sure has a weird buoyancy point. It's consistant enough now that it must be a law. Maybe his hat is filled with helium.

Basically, the floating grey thing (I forgot it's name) is asking why he isn't being weighed down by the boots and dying. Link's saying that the boots he's carrying are only heavy when he WEARS them (they are very heavy boots), so he's not wearing them, he doesn't drown.

well, I know how he does it in Twilight Princess. You just need common sense and be paying attention in the beginning. But for the other games, still no clue...

I always wondered that. Also Where does Link put all his stuff when he doesnt use it? He carries so many items, HEAVY ITEMS at that, and yet he can pull them out of nowhere instantly!
It always looks like he pulls stuff out the back of his shirt. Mabye he keeps everything in an alternate dimention inside his shirt! It makes perfect sense!

I know the answer to the item problem! While you're not playing the game, Link plays tetris endlessly. That way he can fit everything into his backpack or what ever perfectly ^^

Yeah those boots are like so heavy when he is wearing them. Unlike the sword,shield, chailmail, hookshot, Bag of bombs, Quiver of arrows, Bottle filled with random liquids, Big gorons sword (going by OoT here) Gorons hammer, Madallion of acient sages... and other assortment of items he runs miles and miles and miles... and miles... carrying.
Man... I should enter link as a character name into my Rappelz accpount to see if it will overlook the wieght limits the have set in the game lol.

yeah, and how come he doesn't break his back when he's lugging around stuff like the megaton hammer and the ball and chain? Like Zarokan said, you'd think it would have some kind of effect... maybe it's Link's new Get Buff Quick exercise regimen, and when he takes it all off he'll be able to jump buildings. XD

ARGH! YES! That always bothered me! The only explanation is that he has a magical bag of holding or a teleporter that lets him remove the boots from his person instantly!
But if you look closely I think when you take the boots off they shoot up his pant legs... so .... boxers of holding?

I always wondered why you didn't sink in the water temple(to lazy to think of the name) when the ironboots were floating around in your inventory while you were swimming, but you sank when you were wearing them.

How true...just 'cause they're (the boots) are in your item slots doesn't mean that your using them...yet he'd have to have them with him the whole time whether he's carrying them or not.

I've always wondered about that myself.
We had a crack theory that midna somehow turned them into something lighter, but the helium hat thingy sounds cooler.
