Description
I drew this for my mom's daycare mother's friend's birthday. I used mechanical pencil on Bristol paper. Took about 6 hours or so over two weeks. I like it quite a lot.(Full view would be better)

Hah. Great. Now I have to draw that. NNY as an old psycho grandpa.
Okay, let's just drop this whole winnner/loser thing and take on the mentality that they gave us in kindergarden. Everyone's a winner!

"That's wonderful Billy. Of course we're all winners. Now get back to your finger paints HOAR."
0.o I'll have to say I've been hanging out with my friend Bryan a little too often, he's coming out in my writing!

Yes, I had read through the JTHM before you gave it to me. But see, even if they DO kill him, he can't go to either heaven or hell, so he's stuck being alive on earth... That doesn't really make you a winner, hm?

Haishuva In reply to Blackwood01 [2007-03-01 19:58:49 +0000 UTC]
A winner because you're stuck on earth? I wouldn't want that prize for the rest of eternity...
Is it just me or can you just NOT see Johnny die of old age?

Wait wait! NNY can't die! He wins at life! That means that the by making people lose at life, you win at life. But if so many people are all trying to win at life at the same time by causing other people to loose at life, i.e. killing them, then wouldn't everyone fall victim to another "winner" and soon there, hypothetically, would only be one winner, and then they couldn't really repopulate the earth and so they'd be miserable even if they COULDN'T die, and probably kill themselves and so no one would win at life...
Wow.
And entire paragraph of pointless logic.
I love doing that.

You haven't read all of JTHM yet, have you? Even poor Johnny fails at life. But only sort of...in a way... I'm putting him in his own category. He wins at life in the emo way I guess.

It really is depressing... We feel good about ourselves because we're not dead. Wait, does this mean that everyone on earth is an eventual loser at life?

Haishuva In reply to Blackwood01 [2007-02-26 19:52:56 +0000 UTC]
Exactly. Everyone FAILS at life at some point in their lives. Except Jack Skellington. He wins at everything.

Well, that all depends on what failing at life means. If it means.... not.... living... then they do. And then technically I don't! Woo! Still-lifes make me feel better about myself!

Exactly!! See, we figured it out. We WIN at life, because we are...not...dead... Wow that sentence just got too depressing to finish. *think about the still-lifes, think about the still-lifes...*

Nuh uh! You did not draw that! It's a picture! You're cheating!
DAMN, that's a nice piece of work. You can tell I like fawning over other people's work, hm?

And THIS is what I draw. 9x12, mechanical pencil, in my OWN way. No 18x24 shapes and crap. Still-lifes FAIL at life. Literally.

Very well shaded and shaped, not to mention extremely realistic. From a far view, it's all too photographic! I'm very impressed and glad I stumbled across this. C: Magnificantly done!

This is some VERY fantastic detail work Sam! I especially admire the nails but the textureing on the color and hair is equally amazing.
You really out did yourself.

The nails were actually one of the easier parts of the drawing. I have taken a liking to shading smooth black surfaces like the nails and nose. Thanks for the praise Lauren!

The original is 9x12. When I first started drawing it my mom was like "Wow you're doing that pretty big" but I did it anyway. ^-^
