I am getting a knockoff D-Ark (by that I mean it's a digivice that's made in china but looks exactly like the japanese version, and the box claims "599 in 1", whatever that means) and I plan on painting it but the rubber buttons are black. would acryllic paint work to cover them up or would I have to use something else?

mine is a knockoff as well...
i dunno much about paint except that some acrilics (or vinyls) tend to be good home for mole and bacteria after a while, i painted my digivice with oil based paint, my best guess is that you can use that or enamel paints....

Awesome, maybe it's just my colorblindness, but how bad could it have looked green?

grab any acrilic or oil based paint and a brush... just be sure you have a stady hand and lots of patinece or you'll screw up the device...

it's cheapo chinese imitation (aka: a KnockOff) Digivice but have most tamagotchi functions + the combat (connect with another of these digivices and put your pet to fight against another one)
i currently have 2 (one silver and this one) and buy it on a local toy store
this one was originally green (hideous!) but was the only one of the 2 i buy with the (cheapo) card slash function. so i painted it red.
i hope you like it XD
btw the other one is in storage jut in case you wanna know

I bought one of these. I hope to transplant the electronics from my American digivice to the casing of the knock off.

Oh, and I hope to make a realistic (real-looking) Blue Card replica using an old circuit board, some rub-on transfer sheets, and some aluminum foil. (I wish I could find a blue circuit board [it would be easier to make], but those seem to be pretty rare.)
