Description
*Be sure to fullview!*The original source is here: [link] I just cropped it, enlarged it, and redrew it- I did NOT create it. Namco Bandai created this for the game Tales of Vesperia. I just made this in case any fanartists need it.
I don't know how to turn this into an actual font, so you'll have to copy/paste it. Sorry.
~~~~~~~~~
If you like the Tales games and would like to see more of them localized, check this link for news and ways you can help: [link]
Please spread the word. There's a high chance Namdai won't care, but it's worth a try. Every effort counts, no matter how small.
For those who are looking. I made it into an actual font file.
It'd be awesome to learn this and start writing in it; no one around me would understand, and it'd be the ultimate code
....I think it would also label me as the ultimate nerd though
Lol, you and me both. I have a small printout of the alphabet, about the size of a hand, and I used to practice during math class when I wasn't asleep or confused. xD
Nerds are the future bosses of the world, though, so yeah.
I learned how to write the obvious letters like C and the vowels without a guide, but I've pretty much forgotten them now that it's summer vaction. I think I can still read the alphabet, though.
De todos os tipos de alfabetos que eu tenho arquivado, o esse Γ© um dos melhores e mais bonitos.
As letras sΓ£o confeccionadas sem perder o estilo original e ΓΊnico.
Namco is the original creator of this alphabet- I just rendered it so fans could use it. Thank you, though. ^^
If you're asking about how I drew them, I made multiple layers and drew different parts of each letter on each layer. That way, I wouldn't have to worry about accidentally erasing my previous work.
That's smart.
But I was asking how you found all of the letters in the game. My sis was doing the same thing (not planning on posting it, though), but she couldn't find a place that had certain letters.
Ah. A little while ago, I came across scans of the ToV Perfect Guide, which had the complete alphabet on one of the pages. I've linked to the scan in my description.
if you look close enough it looks just like the english alphabet but turned in different ways (and all the numbers are the same direction sideways)
True. It's one of the reasons I like this alphabet. ^^ Also, it has a complete set- Tales of the Abyss's fonic alphabet is beautiful, but lacks the letter x.
I think it showed up on the passage ring scenes and a few signs in Keterburg. There are likely other places, but I can't remember them. >_>
I'd render the fonic alphabet, but someone's already done so and converted it into a font. I just can't remember where to find it...
The crests on blastia (fleck, rockra, etc) are different from this alphabet. However, this font does show up multiple times in the game- for example, the sign in Nordopolica that the tipster's standing in front of. If you read it, you might recognize a few names.
