I think I have the fairy tale book you got this from! It was one of my favorite books when I was little and I still have it. This was one of my favorite illustrations in it. But all of the pictures in it were so beautiful!

some pencil and some bic pen and some colour adjustment, I suppose I could call it digital, but it wouldn't do justice to the 2 hours I spent drawing it, opposed to the 30 seconds it spent in Photoshop.
