Description when searching for a for a photograph to use as a loose reference for my Mountain Lion I was appalled at how many pictures of dead cougars accompanied by happy smiling hunters there are. I understand hunting for food... but hunting for sport I find rather disgusting....

And the hunting is sick. The only hunting I understand that isn't sick but helping is limiting the population of the animal.

The only animal population that I can think of the needs limiting is the human population, sill, doesn't mean that we ought to take out our guns and cameras and post photos of our spoils on the internet...

Beautiful work. I like how you captured the night landscape as well as the puma. And YES, I find it shocking and disturbing when browsing around for photos to inspire art and so much of what I find is dead mountain lions. It's a bit disturbing to say the least. Majestic cougars? It's like, "No, have a DEAD ONE. THIS COUGAR IS CLAIMED PERMANENTLY AND IS OUT OF ORDER. FOREVER. IS MINE, SEE? SEE MAH HAPPEH FACE??!??!" That's... definitely not how I prefer to appreciate my wildlife...

I have much appreciation for the majesty and intelligence of wild cats, it is sad that we feel that we must destroy them. Sure they may be a danger to humans, but humans are a danger to everyone and everything on this planet, and the people who can't see that are the sickest of all.

Truth. It is a sad society where "being manly" often means "kill it if it is awesome." We're more dangerous than anything else, sometimes without even meaning to. (Like when we create roadkill.) That is the tragic part- and we don't need to prove it again and again.

Thanks a lot!

I really wish that everyone would stop hunting the big cat populations of the world. Just look at what people did to the tigers

Wild cats can be dangerous, but there is nothing more dangerous than our culture.

Shame on us!

Absolutly. The 'male' thing to do is to hunt for this or that cat animal, because they look dangerous and must be therefor be killed. Hunters like that are like oil companies building 'enviromental' cars... Meaning, no one in their right mind buys it...

Enviromental cars dont even exsist, it is just a term used to deceive us. There are all kinds of ways to destory the world.
Hunting species to extinction, and pollution are only two.

Yes, here in Sweden they give 'discounts' to people who buy 'envirormentally classed cars', which means the car company claims
their new models are saving the world by having a green sticker on 'em. Phew. I don't have a driver's licence (too expensive,
I've always thought) and can thus wear The Beautiful South slogan ONE CAR LESS. However, I still always feel humankind will be extinct any second now...
