I love both of the pictures with the reflection very much, but somehow this here in particular

The overall appearence of this woman is sure human, but due to the paint, the hair and the way she reacts to her reflection I imagine something like a "feral child". Especially this one here conveys this feeling to me, as the approach to this "foreign entity" seems to be so tender and cautios, and I don´t know how, but the brilliant posing and facial expression add some further impression of infantile innocence to it. The way how she places her hand on the mirror, for example. And yes, also the face itself a little (which is adorable).

So the concept of a "feral child" is kind of an ... "introductory" idea to me, triggering further contemplations on for example the self-awareness/self-consciousness (not a native speaker, don´t know which word is correct here, maybe even both? ) that we as humans possess. And awareness of ourselves as we know it would be impossible, if there wasn´t anybody who recognizes or "reflects" us FIRST - as a whole, regarding soul and body. That´s how our life begins. We are truly dependent from sensory, mental and emotional feedback, otherwise we can´t develop healthily, especially mentally healthy.

I could say so much more, but this is the gist of my idea which is provoked by this picture All in all, I see that there is a kind of human, somehow detached from herself, not really knowing, who and what she is, oviously not having a concept of "self" like we use to. And that again is a story on its own

Oh thank you for your wonderful comment! Pictures are flat and worthless without emotions genarated by someone's viewing. You make the picture, you change it's dimension, you create it with your perception. But as you know not many people want to express their feelings as you did and I would love to thank you for the effort and your time and your wonderful interpretation!

You're most welcome! I'm always glad and relieved, when such thoughts of mine are appreciated  For one, because writing down my ideas at all is not always easy and then even more so in english. So, I'm never absolutely sure if I get understood, concerning my language as such and then the actual content of it

And I share your point of view, you expressed it very beautifully That's why I do my best to write down my personal thoughts about an artwork, whenever my brain allows it  Which is not as often as I wish, but well ...  Of course there are several intelligible reasons as to why there is rather little emotional feedback on any piece of art on the internet, that's certainly due to the times we live in. And then there may be a language barrier here, too ... So I also would desire to hear more personal associations someone has with one or the other photo of mine, but I certainly understand why this is rare, too, so I'm happy with any "little" reaction to a photo of mine - which is more than I ever expected anyway  So ... I understand both sides

Thank you! Don't worry! Your English is probably better than mine! Hopefully one day I'll be able to express myself as good as in my own language. This is why I don't comment very often because I would love to do that in the best possible way and I'm afraid I can't for time being. Grrr.

A wonderfully passionate dynamic -- the Lass seems to have just had an epiphany of self realization, or perhaps not. Maybe simply a realization of another, not yet making the connection to her self. Quite an intense exchange indeed -- i am not sure if these two are going to hit it off right off the bat from what projects out of the exchange.
