I rather liked this novel, but I sense not many of my audience did. That was a shame, as I think the main scene in the middle of the novel where the villain corrupts our heroines into gem slaves is particularly fun. I guess this does step outside my usual love of rubber and latex to embrace the fun of goth chick corruption, so it may not have been what some people expected!

"Kai quit her high-powered job as a lawyer to become a full-time live-in slave for her Master. However, she doesn’t remember how she acquired this Master, and she still isn’t certain why a tattoo is being inscribed on her belly around a ruby red gem.

Her cybergothic friend might help her to discover these answers, but there’s a cost - she’ll be required to visit her club and be dressed as a goth herself. That is the only way she’ll be accepted by the resident Pathwalker and shown her possible futures.

The fae's help does not guarantee success, but failure will ensure that she becomes a jewel slave to a fae lord.

Embracing her new gothic style and potential elf suitor might be the only way for her to navigate the shadowy paranormal world which mirrors our own."
