It's a stage modeled after the rest area you visit between levels in All-Star mode (and Boss Battles)! It's not an exact replica; obviously the original is much more atmospheric. But the three platforms are there, and a skylight was added in the top middle where the light usually shines down. The raised center platform became that citadel-thing. It may not be perfect, but it's a pretty good recreation. So, for the first time ever, we're fighting where we should be resting.
