Hers's my tutorial. I hope this helps everyone that's been asking. Im still feeling like a pile of poop but i managed to piece this together.If anything is unclear don't hesitate to comment and ask me please. this is my first time doing this sorta thing.

lol i do it the long way.
1. sketch/ ink/ scan
2. zoom in waay close and move across every line making them all the same width/ correcting bumps. (i dont have a steady hand while inking X_X)
3. color/shade.
i have elements, but i like to take my time with the lines in PS cs3. gives me something to do while watching movies xD

two things, which tool do u use when u said you smoothen out the lines, and also for the shading wat did you set your paintbrush to? like wat mode was it? I would like to know SAP plz.

the cutout tool. the paintbrush to 9% opacity and i guess just the normal mode, cos i'e never really changed it, its just a solid brush.

its not like an icon. its one of the pre-set effects you get on elements. but if you have elements its in the 'artisitic' set of effects. hope this helps, it probably won't! lol

no, if you can't find it. you probably don't hav it. cos its pretty obvious. If you do go on the drop down box and select 'artistic' and it should be the second or third from the left. it even says 'Cutout' when you hold your mouse over it. hope this helps

photoshop elements 6 (it says at the top) when i say smoothing out the lines i mean is they don't look as bumpy so i use a white brush just so they're not all over the place. i promise the next deiation will be Shoku!!

when you say learn about the scanner, all you need to do is (this is just about for every scanner) is plug in the scanner to a USB port and press scan on the scanner. hope that helps!!

lol i looked on my printer and in big riting it said "SCANNER" i was like how could i not see that !LOL!
i do mine a diff way because i couldnt find a way to make the lines thicker and stuff the cut out tool ect so instead i drew scan line art over the drawing erase drawing and then stoke path ,delete then its there the shading and highlight was amazing i used to go diff colour then go over it

Hi! xD, very nice tutorial, i have now created one in photoshop, even a data table xD, but the cutout tool i couldn't find it >-<(can oyu tell me how it looks like?), also on adding shade and highlights, do you select the parts where to add or something?, i had to do that

no, lines are pencil and you don't really need a tablet for the rest. you can just use a mouse. hope this helps
