I got lost at the point you mentioned Magic Wand tool on different areas of the pic, and the Blue and Red brushes. I use paint.net, and also have GIMP 2 which I had tried to use for sprite art.

Won`t it be easier to use tracing paper for step 2? Like - trace lines on tracing paper, turn to repeat lines and then copy it onto another paper?

This is a wonderful tutorial, but I do have one question before I jump in. I don't own a scanner or have easy access to one; do you have any suggestions as to what brush size and pressure sensitivity I should use? From what I can see the lines are pretty uniform in width with on slight taper to the tips, but if I could know the brush size it would be a tremendous help.
Thanks a bunch for making this tutorial; it's just the kind of thing I was looking for~

What exactly do you mean by 'Printing it off on the back of the sketch'? And how exactly would I make a light box without a see-through cook book stand or a bed-side lamp that has one of those moveable heads? And uhr...WHat...Is a light-box? ÂŚL
