Hyakume (百目): Hundreds Eyes are yokai, covered with hundreds eyes on their body. They can disguise themselves in many forms but all of them have hundreds eyes just like their name; sometimes as old men, fleshy monster or even women. They live in old buildings and appear often in new mooned nights. Even moonlight is said to be too bright for their sensitive eyes. They are harmless and all what they do, is just jumping out of nowhere and showing their creepy appearance to scare people. In some tales, they are said to be very shy and always try to avoid contacts with human. Their eyes can be detached from the body and can stick to other people for spying their activities.
