Description Monkton, Maryland

On the grounds of Inverness Farm, site of Inverness Brewing, the first farm brewery in Baltimore County, it is a prominent landmark in the area known since colonial times as "My Lady's Manor."

Having historically been in the possession of families with strong ties to equine sport (notably the Keiffers and Secors), the property has a strong and heralded tradition in the areas of horse breeding, racing, and steeplechase.

(Fun Fact: Leslie E. Keiffer owned 1925 Kentucky Derby winner "Flying Ebony" from 1930 to 1934 and kept him at Inverness Farm.)

Though it's only about 30 minutes from home, I never knew it existed before this passed weekend!
