I have written a story that could use a photo like this. A woman begs a close friend to murder her to take away the uncertainty of random death. This picture looks to me like the friend has regretfully done as she asked.

Oh this guy killed her and is now unhappy its over. He's bored poor boy. Thankfully, she no longer has to put up with him.

To me, this doesn't say suicide. His face has that deranged, obsessive quality of regret mixed with attempted justification etched all over it. He is very much the still image of the phrase "Why did you have to make me do that?" Very creepy and evocative. And the way you are laying like that just gives me chills... Like there is much more to this story, a rich history full of conflict, obsession, fear, and ultimately passion that mingles with his deranged nature, culminating in this picture.
Wow, I went a little overboard on the guesswork, huh? Anyways, great picture. Very cold.

I agree: there is something in his pose which says murder rather than suicide. Its the way he's propped up on one hand. But I do love that its a bit ambiguous.
I like that you see this as just being one moment in the story. That is exactly what I go for in these concept shoots with actors.

oh wow, i imagined he walked in just after your suicide by hanging, and cut down the rope which is why it's frayed. and now he is mourning your loss and that he wasn't there in time to save you! that's the story i came up with anyway

Funny you should say that. We had been working with the idea that he had killed me for a while then, for the last couple of shots, I told him to do whatever her wanted. I was being dead so not looking, and afterwards he told me that he'd shifted it to suicide in his mind for those last shots. This is why I love working with beautiful, trained actors like Gabe: they take initiative and tell stories. There are some models who do this also but I love my actors.

Are you exporting from Lightroom/Photoshop in srgb colour spacing? If you do it in Adobe rgb or anything else, it'll change the colours when you upload it to web.
