Description
This will only help you if you don't quite have a grasp on the cut tool or have trouble rotating your image. It is quite in depth and should help you learn those two tools rather well... Download and unzip the file. You have to actually unzip it or the images will be broken.Made with Mandelbulb3Dv168

Sorry it took so long to reply but it seems to be fine now. Just a minor DA glitch that happens from time to time...

Thank you so much for this , Hal! I am trying like crazy to learn this program, but I think I must be 3D Challenged, because it doesn't always look like what I expect when I do something, like zoom or rotate. But, I guess, the more I use it, the more I'll understand, right?
I really appreciate your sharing your knowledge on this, Hal! I'm sure there are a lot of other people who feel the same way.

Thanks! I haven't done animations, but yes, you have to compile the images with some program...

I'm so happy you came up with this tutorial. I've been terribly stuck sometimes rotating and cutting only to find it cut wrong or incomplete. This should help a whole lot. thanks for making it.

Another really good tutorial Hal! I haven't really played with cutting stuff much yet, but I will definitely be playing around with it more thanks to your tutorial!

Thanks a lot! Once I learned it, I use it quite a bit, particularly with the tubers where there is always something different hiding behind a column or big potato!

You're very welcome - I just tried playin' more with it last night and I can see it opens up a whole new world of things I hadn't seen before - Plan to post a few pieces in the near future, and I will of course give you some credit since they were inspired by your tut! One thing I found really interesting was that you mentioned you don't use the navigator that much - I find that tool so useful, that I was surprised you are finding such great things without it!

Good deal. I hope it helps! Yeah, I've played a little more with the 3d nav the past few days. I found a couple of settings in there that helped me get more used to it. So far I can still do much the same kind of navigating with out using it and much faster for me. I'm sure that will change the more I practice with it. Even so I doubt I will ever become totally dependent on it.

Funny! I almost never use these control arrows that are a relic of a very early version of M3D. I use exclusively the 3D navigator, which is MUCH easier and efficient!

Well I'm somewhat of a relic myself! I was pretty sure a many of the advanced users used the 3D navi window. I don't have anything against it, I just don't use it much at this point so I couldn't give any advice or instructions on it.
