Full view essential. (Please take a good long look for all the smaller details).I am very happy with how this turned out, and i have been waiting a while to upload it, this is the second try i hope everyone likes it. I was playing with the planet textures in photoshop and came up with these after a few hours, then i went on to max for the planets and basic lighting, and finally back to photoshop for for the nebulae and stars etc.

My PSD's are MASSIVE. Average 45 layers with 300 mb base file. 5000x5000 average size.
Your efforts were definately not in vain, phew, that is photo perfect! the scaling on the textures and everything is just perfect. I see a lot of poctures like this, and this one tops them off. You'd better say you work for some company like ILM, heheh.

If that was earth,, i would feel sorry to see it with that huge desertic areas and that populated,,,(ecological perspective

It reminds me of something that I might see in a textbook! The textures look wonderful! I do think that you should add some stars in the blackness around them though... that seems like the missing peice to this picture. The nebula thingy looks very beautiful! I love this picture! Wonderful job!

Firstly, awesome work.
The Blue Planet: I think the textures look good. However, the, what look like structures, are a little too shiny for my liking. Only water diserves that sort of reflection.
I could be wrong, since I havent looked down on Earth from space lately
I like the slight hint of green in the brighter section of the planet.
For realism: The planets seem to be inhabitted by intelligent life, therefore I would expect to see some sort of communication satelite(s) orbiting the planet(s).

That is an incredible work of art. Your effort and time put into it really shows. I think you might be interested in a program called mojoworld if you like creating exotic planets or planet scapes. I think the site is pandromeda.com
Anyways, you certainly have the talent to create planets without the aid of such software. Just something new you might want to look into.
