Full view essential. (Please take a good long look for all the smaller details).I am very happy with how this turned out, and i have been waiting a while to upload it, this is the second try i hope everyone likes it. I was playing with the planet textures in photoshop and came up with these after a few hours, then i went on to max for the planets and basic lighting, and finally back to photoshop for for the nebulae and stars etc.

the planets and their textures, they really have this feeling of "depth", like I've never seen before
the nebula, fantastic, looks like weeks of work
and the spread of the background is just perfectly realistic
just the typo seems displaced, I mean the font is not really fitting
anyway, +fav, a pic I can never get tired of

Whoa, the amount of detail on the planet's surfaces is astounding. I also like the contrast between the cold tones used on the lower planet and the warm tones used on the upper planet. Not a really original concept but flawlessly executed. Keep up the great work!

Oh my... this is amazing. the realism in the textures, especially the bluer planet... awesome. Also, I was wondering, how do you get the light to interact with the textures? so you paint the lighting into the texture, or is there some sort of bump map thing that raises areas that are hit by light? anyway, this is beyond words. I love it.
