You're welcome! Wicca is a pagan religion, which is a combination of many religious traditions. It actually means "wise." In other words, Wicca is a term used for witches. And no, we are not evil. We worship the God AND the Goddess, which manifest themselves through nature.

No bother at all. Yes, I am Wiccan, but I am solitary...organized religions are not my thing. I celebrate holidays from the Wheel of the Year, which inspired most Christian holidays. For instance, Christmas was taken from Yule, which celebrates the death of the God, which is born again in the spring, and the end of the year. From this holiday, we get Yule trees (Christmas trees), the Sage of the north (Santa Claus or father time), mistletoe, etc, etc (i.e.: all the non-commercial things about Christmas). Not to mention Christ was supposedly born in the spring, not winter. Easter comes from Ostara and Beltane, which are fertility and new-life holidays. Bunnies and eggs sure did not come from Christβthey are pagan symbols of cyclical life and procreation. Halloween comes from Samhain...I could go on forever.
The trouble with organized religions is that they all think they are right, and that THEIR way is the only redeeming way to heaven. As a Wiccan, I realize that religions are all part of the same thing and that heaven may very well be here on earth. For instance, spells are not some evil magic that you do to get back at enemies, lol. Casting a spell is no different than saying a prayer. If you are focusing energy enough in one form or another, you can manipulate events and circumstances around you. It is really more scientific than magical. I cherish nature...I believe that science and religion are also part of the same thing. Furthermore, Wiccans don't even believe in heaven or hell...just reincarnation and cyclical energy. If they worship more than one God (polytheism), it must be understood that these many female and male goddess aspects are all part of the same powerful energy source. But is that so different than Christianity??? They believe in the Holy Trinity: the father, the son, and the Holy Ghost. Wiccans believe in the the female aspects of The Maiden, The Mother, and The Crone, and the male aspects of The Inseminator, The Provider, and The Sage. Once again, these are only aspects of the energy's personalities, just as some pagans worship the many god and goddesses of the Greek Pantheon, etc.
Another intereting factor is that most Wicccans believe in a celestial mother and earthly father, but this is also subject to perception. This subject is highly vast. One could study the Craft one's whole life and still have a universe of things to learn.
