This makes me think of a giant backwards letter 'n'.
I was actually working on it the other way around when I put in the black line to make a backwards 'u', but flipped it due to preference.
Let's see if people hate this one as much as the last few I've submitted.
It will be our secret spy operation.

I'm really excited about your style taking this new form...This series pieces made up of absracted shapes and colors is very bold...they looked amazing when placed together on the floor during the portolio reviews...

Ahh, thanks. I'm very pleased with how they've all turned out thus far. The next step I am going to take (and have started) is to relate them to my 2-D concentration/Cooper exploration.

that should be rather interesting...what do you have in mind?

Basically just exploring the same type of imagery I'll be using in 2D, then scraping the pieces with matboard squeegees like I did with this piece. So that there is purpose with similar composite qualities. I think I will also try to emphasize that there is actually an image and not just paint. Hernandez discourages using paintings done in his class for 2D, but I'm going to talk to him about that, because it seems counter productive.

i like this piece alex.
the background has an impressionistic feel.
the black lines remind me of a bridge-- specifically a local bridge here-- the george westinghouse bridge.
anyhow i like how this series is progressing. keep it up!

My first impression was the course of a river as seen from space.

Oh, cool! So I'm betting that we're not all that far from one another! Cool!

Since you're local, tell me what you do around here for studio space! I'm going nuts here.

Haha. I wish I had a studio. I'm still living at home with my parents to boot, so I just make things in my room. The floor is real nice. I've got a pretty big wooden easel too.
