Ah, yes. Some of you select few people may remember the concept of the deconstruction book.
I still have pictures of the old book, the old pieces..
New school year, new deco book.
We haven't actually been assigned anything yet, but I'm doing pages anyways.

For those of you unfamiliar with this concept, you take a book, apply a layer of gesso, and then go nutso on it.(two pages are considered one page, and that is what is required as "one page") Last year the preferred subject was "subtle color and texture".

Four tubes of acrylic paint (two greens, white, and black) and some tape.
I put on a layer of paint, then some tape.
Then more paint, then more tape.
I used a papertowel to remove excess and prevent too much mixing.
After the fourth or fifth layer I stopped, removed the tape, and let it dry.

I decided it wasn't done, so today I went back and did more layering with the tape.
When I peeled it off, it took some of the paper with it...
Afterwards, I took a paper towel and blotted on black acrylic (it took the pattern of the towel, which was badass).
Ta daaa.
I can't decide if I like v1 or v2 better..
