is there a way to make it in inches? i don't understand how to make it small enough for a 8 1/2 x 11" paper....i suck at converting and measuring, but i would really like to try this....i also have paper thats 12" x 18"...how wide would it need to be to have it 18" long? your tutorial really helped me, and now my stars look great! i've tried every tutorial on dA, but then i found out (the hard way) that i need to WATCH someone do it, in real life, or a video. so i went on youtube, but none of them were very descriptive! they just made the star, and didn't tell you how. then i found your tutorial here, with a link to a video. it's the best one by far. thank you SO much!

Hi I just made a star and was wondering if you knew how to make a puffy heart like that star?

i used to know, but not anymore. to tell you the truth, though, i never liked the way that the hearts turned out since you have to cut the corners off to make it look like a heart. it was kinda lame.

any kind of printed paper, actually... so long as it's not too thick and not too thin.
so don't use: cardstock, cardboard, tissue paper
do use: wrapping paper, writing paper, scrapbooking paper (so long as it's not cardstock), origami paper, etc.
