Description
So here we are in Mosul, Iraq, arguably one of the hottest places in Iraq right now ... They're unloading some pallets off an Iraqi C-130. It was kind of dark outside, so I ended up stealing my buddy's tripod and setting my camera on it to try and take a still shot -- It still didn't end up being as sharp as it should have.Related content

Heh... I remember coming back this last go around, we had just touched down in Kuwait and were getting out of the plane, and I realized "I'm not in Iraq anymore! FUCK YES!" But then, I realized the dudes flying the plane probably make runs like this on a daily basis. That's got to suck so bad to leave Iraq every day, and have to go right back the next

my mom loaded refugees and supplies onto those C-130s in Vietnam, then she helped with the Operation Baby Lift at the end of the war, to evacuate hundreds of orphans to the Philippines, to be processed for adoption by waiting foster parents in the States.

I kind of like the blur that came with it. I see nothing wrong with it. Nicely done

Either way -- Landing and seeing only a little bit of daylight left was pretty disheartening. At least they have mountains in Mosul... I actually got to see some landscape for the first time in forever ....
