This game is absolutely awesome! The story, the atmosphere, the music.. just wow!It's not easy doing it justice with fanart >_< I wanted to draw all of the colossus at first but after several attempts I came to the conclusion I just wasn't skilled enough. This is the best I could do for now. First time drawing a horse, more seriously at least, so please go easy on me. I also don't really remember what the save altars looked like but I'm pretty glad that at least I made a background for once! Haha. But darn, it takes a lot of time. I'm gonna focus on learning how to draw people before backgrounds. I hope you don't mind.
And by the way.. if you haven't played this game yet: Go get it! NOW!

I thought the ending was real sad too. But when I thought about it a bit more, it wasn't all sad.
I mean, he couldn't have the girl, obviously, but he didn't do it all for nothing; He did bring her back to life... and he has all of his own life ahead of him, again. So I guess it's not depressingly sad.

its lovely! You did a wonderful job on everything expecially the altar and wander. I loved how he would be asleep when you came back to the game and wouldnt wake up until you moved the analog stick ^3^ Oh and of course you have to have the white tailed lizard~ *munch*

hee~ yes me too I tried to get the camera as close to him to see as I could X3. And yes all those details made the game so wonderful, same with him praying; they actually bothered to show the eyes closed and everything ^-^ Again, beautiful job on the picture *stares at it again* ^3^

That is amazing, it very much reminds me of the harrowing journey in the game, I love the white tail lizard, fantastic attention to detail. Well done.

As for how to do amazing art... Well, it's all up to the viewer what's amazing, heh
I spent a lot of time on the environment in this drawing, I guess the hard work paid off.
Wander's pose was hard to do... I tried to look at how he sat in different angles, and drew a quick sketch of it.
Then worked on refining it. The shrine was mostly out of my head, so it isn't very accurate.

Hmmm... It's been a while since I drew this so I can't remember exactly how I drew and colored the grass. When looking at it, though, I think I used two of the Photoshop standard brushes. The one basic grass brush that creates straws, and a more flat dirt-ish looking brush. And then I pretty much worked with those, using different tones.
And yes I do have a tablet, not the best one but it's so much better than a mouse. I couldn't draw with a mouse to save my life, haha.
I love the game too. I have finished the actual story 4 times, but I haven't completed many of the time attacks. I don't want to finish them all at once so I just play it a little now and then. So I haven't gotten white Agro yet cause to get him I think you need to complete all of the time attacks, right? So how far have you gotten by the way?
I'm probably gonna do more fan art soon, even though it's hard. If one never tries to one can never succeed, hehe. Good luck with your own art and thanks for the lovely comment and fav!

Ahh I think I know the brush you are talking about ^^ I dont have a tablet XD and I am not sure if I am willing to spend the money on one o.o I usually just draw things, scan them then colour them in.
I haven't played through it 4 times, but I am playing through it in hard mode, and got brown Agro from normal time attack. If I do manage to beat it in hard mode, I will have to do those time attacks XD I have already read many frustrated comments from people who cant seem to beat those time attacks.

I got my tablet at an OK price from eBay some years ago but didn't start using it until December last year. Maybe you can get a cheap tablet in the future, if you really want one. I really like traditionally colored art though. As well as black and white pencil drawings.
I never did the time attack in Normal mode, I'm doing them in Hard mode now. It seems like you have lots of time for some of the colossus while others seem way to short! I think it's pretty much about patience... which I lack cause I get tired of trying after only a couple of times, haha. But I will beat them all, eventually. ^^

XD It bugs me the short time sometimes, its insane! I don't colour all my work lol, depends on how unlazy I feel, since colouring takes me a long time and I sometimes just want to put the work up right away. And I am horrid with drawing or even colouring backgrounds. Most of my stuff is mugshots lol

Oh wow, I think you did some amazing justice to "Shadow of the Colossus" with this piece of fanart--it's absolutely beautiful, just like the game. You even did the little glowing orbs hovering above Wander, and the vines, and the plants, and the cracks in the temple.... Wow.
What amazes me more is that, since "Shadow of the Colossus" has a much different art style from what you're used to, it's a real change for you, but you managed to pull the colors and overall feeling with perfection (at least in my eyes). I always loved the coloration and light tones in this game, more so than most out there nowadays.
I also like how you did Wander there, too, taking a nap beside the temple. Kind of makes me want to poke him.
Agro is the only thing in this entire picture that looks slightly off. Maybe it's because his head is a bit big, but all thoughts considering I'm pretty aware that horses are hard to draw like that as it is, so you win artistic points anyway.
You have yet to disappoint, Hani.

And I completely agree about the horse. Considering I never drew horses I thought it was alright at first, but the more I look at it the more I dislike it! Anyway, I'm glad you can see I tried a different art style, more like the one of the game, and that you think that it turned out well. It was fun to do but took a lot of time. I love the colors and overall atmosphere of the game too, the whole game is very artistic <3

Beautiful. Everything is so perfect and fits so well together, it's not like you just worked harder on one part than another xD It all just fits, lovely scene! NICE job on that alter, you can even see the cracks O: Do you have any close-ups of this, particularly on the wanderer, he looks amazing! <3 how you colored his clothes. I guess he had it coming though, messing around with powers like that. Even so he has my outmost respect for doing what he did!
