Well, this is different. From me, at least!

Heh! I used to love My Little Ponies back when I was a kid. But the rest of my childhood was really awkward and embarrassing. So I've sadly come to disassociate myself as much as I can from anything that reminds me of that time.

But while hanging out on the KF forum, I noticed people started talking about this new show, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Despite my misgivings, it looked like so much fun! So I gave the first couple of episodes a try, and I was so hooked!

So for the past couple of months I've been distracted with figuring out Inkscape and drawing my ponysona. I'm particularly proud of the cutiemark, which took some effort. But thanks to that, I've realized that all I've ever really wanted out of life is freedom, peace, and simplicity. Of course, I've also always loved animals, and been a hopeless romantic. I know I haven't always lived up to the ideals my cutiemark represents. I've been confrontational with people in the past, and I want to change that. It's not who I really am.

I was compelled to also draw her as a little filly, to maybe help put my childhood in a lighter perspective. And finally, I decided to play with the Mary-Sue-ish Alicorn form, just to remind me that I can always improve myself and become wiser. I'm very happy with how all three of them came out.
