A friend of mine wanted me to do a Thing drawing for a while now so I did one of him vs the hulk as it fits with the Thing kicking ass.Related content

You drew this after we talked about my love of this classic match up and Thing getting short shrifted all the time by Marvel. It is the crown jewel in my art collection! An outstandingly cool kinetic snapshot of a great battle!

This could totally happen! Maybe Bruce Banner is in control of the Hulk's body and he's been framed for a crime he didn't commit so Ben thinks he has to be rough with him and that's why he's getting so many good shots!

haha, i like how you thought of a backstory to this piece. Yeah like I said before friend of mine just really wanted me to draw the thing and he liked the stories of when it compared him to the hulk and who's stronger. I figured this would be a nice drawing for him.

I hope he enjoyed it! But when you really think about it, The Hulk and The Thing are pretty evenly matched, The Hulk can only cut loose when he's really angry, but since The Thing isn't a super villain, technically he won't go out of his way to make the Hulk angry just to prove he can still beat him! And The Thing usually won't cut loose either because he's still Ben Grimm who for all his bitterness and frustration, knows that deep down The Hulk doesn't want to hurt anybody he's just too infuriated to stop himself!
